Morton Photonics has very broad experience in design and characterization of complex photonic devices. Dr. Morton is internationally recognized for research into high-speed photonic devices, achieving world records for maximum bandwidth in directly modulated laser diodes, and for the ‘Hybrid Soliton Pulse Source’ which was invented by Dr. Morton during his time at AT&T Bell Laboratories. Dr. Morton was also a key member of the Bell Labs team that developed and transferred to manufacturing the 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps EMLs that led Lucent Optoelectronics to dominate that market. Morton Photonics can provide design services, together with simulation services for the analysis and fabrication of photonic devices. Morton Photonics works with a number of foundry services and can arrange for fabrication of photonic devices, together with the required testing and analysis of device results. Morton Photonics can also work with device manufacturers to provide clients with the optimum devices for their higher level applications.
